On 7 October 2021, Laure De Cock successfully defended her PhD "Adaptive mobile indoor route guidance. The next big step”". Laure obtained her master degree in Geomatics and Surveying in 2017. Since 2017 she has been working with a FWO PhD-fellowship at the CartoGIS research group (Department of Geography) under the supervision of prof. Philippe De Maeyer, prof. Nico Van de Weghe and dr. Kristien Ooms. Her research fits in the research topics of the CartoGIS research group, such as moving objects, perception of the environment and development of (routing) algorithms. She is since October 2021 post-doc researcher in the same group.
