Staff members of the Department of Geography went to Ecuador where aerial images were made with a drone to create 3D models of the environment. The intertidal area of Puerto Ayora on the Galapagos Islands was mapped in cooperation with the Department of Applied Ecology and Environmental Biology. This department studies conducts research on fish population and sediment deposits in this region. In addition, our staff members went to the mainland of Ecuador to take aerial images of a reforestation project of Bos+. For this project, a monitoring method will be developed in cooperation with the Department of Forestry and Water Management and Bos+ to evaluate the reforestation.
