Haosheng Huang starts a tenure track professorship in Cartography and GIScience in February 2020. His background is in computer science.
Haosheng tackles scientific questions that arise in the mobile information society from both cartography and GIScience perspectives. Specifically, he does research in:
- the design of human-centered Location Based Services (LBS; including Mobile HCI, Augmented Reality AR and Brain-Computer Interface BCI);
- the analysis of location based big data (e.g., Computational Place Modelling; Computational Mobility and Activity Analytics; Urban Informatics);
- the cognitive, behavioral and social implications of LBS.
Haosheng is currently the Chair of the ICA Commission on Location Based Services (http://lbs.icaci.org/).
