Amaury Frankl works since 2007 at the Department of Geography, and is since 2015 post-doctoral researcher at the Fund for Scientific Research - Flanders. His research focuses on hydrogeomorphology – more specifically gully erosion – and understanding the potential of land management on erosion hazards in a changing climate. Focus is on research in France and Ethiopia. Next to this, Amaury is/was involved in projects in Montenegro, Russia, Western China and Switzerland. At his University, Amaury lectures courses in Physical Geography, and is active in several management bodies.
