Jan Nyssen has worked at the Department of Geography of Ghent University since 2007. Driven by passion for Ethiopian culture, he has established himself as a worldwide reference regarding the regional geomorphology of Ethiopia. With a reception we congratulated and thanked Jan. His successful career and boundless commitment to the welfare of others will continue to inspire us. Prof. Nyssen remains associated with the Department as professor emeritus and will continue to teach, among other things.
