Jochem Beullens (°1990) is a scientific researcher since the end of 2014 at the Department of Geography. His research focuses on the development of the LATIS software. This is a modelling software that was developed to measure flood damage and flood risk. The economic damage and the human damage are modelled in function of the water depth. Now the focus is on the expansion of the software by the quantification of social, cultural and ecological damage.
