Tirusew Abere joined Ghent university department of geography (physical geography research group) since october1, 2022 as a BOF sandwich doctoral scholarship student. Her research focuses on identification of soil erosion hotspots and proposing targeted mitigation strategies using evidence based approach in the Lake Tana basin, Ethiopia.
