Yan Lou is a PhD student at the Geography Department of Ghent University. She obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Antwerp University and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Fine Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. Her interests are in the fields of: cross-border higher education and globalization, consumption goods trade and transportation, global commodity logistics and supply chains, world city-formation, and locational analysis of investments and corporations. She is director of the China Europe Economic & Cultural Centre, international coordinator for China at AP University of Applied Science and Arts Antwerp, and Area Manager China for the Van Wellen Group. She uses the experience she has already gained in performing these jobs in her research.
